MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

The success of the RPYO program depends upon:

  • Dedicated students who attend all rehearsals well-prepared and focused.

  • The committed involvement of parent volunteers in activities that support our activities and fund-raising projects.

  • The timely payment of RPYO tuition and other financial obligations.

  • The coordination of student and family commitments so as to avoid conflicts with RPYO rehearsals and concerts.

RPYO Tuition and Financial Aid

  • RPYO tuition, paid in the early fall, covers activities for the entire season, including a Fall Retreat, a group photograph, and a CD of selections from the previous season. Because the tuition amount periodically changes, please contact the RPYO Manager at rpyo@rpo.org for current information.

  • The RPYO has a small financial aid fund, raised through donations to the orchestra, that assists a few qualified families with tuition costs. Information about this fund is available upon request from the RPYO Manager.

  • RPYO members are required to participate in Tours and other planned orchestra events that may have an additional cost.

RPYO Musicians Tenure in the Orchestra

  • Students accepted into the RPYO at our Spring Auditions do not have to re-audition to remain in the orchestra throughout their senior year in high school unless they have taken an approved leave of absence or have faced disciplinary measures.

  • Each RPYO musician participates in an annual Fall Seating Audition that determines the String seating arrangements for the entire season and the distribution of woodwind, brass, and percussion parts. Parts are rotated among these woodwind, brass, and percussion players throughout the season.
